A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday dismissed a no-case submission filed by former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, within the ongoing case over the alleged illegal interception of phone conversations.
The courtroom, in its ruling, held that the prosecution had offered ample proof to warrant calling on the defendant to enter his defence. It consequently directed the previous governor to open his defence subsequent month.
Daily Trust reviews that El-Rufai is standing trial on a five-count amended cost filed by the Department of State Services (DSS) over allegations that he unlawfully intercepted phone conversations linked to Nuhu Ribadu.
