Former councillors and political workplace holders in Gwarzo Local Government Area of Kano State have dumped the political camp of Abdullahi T. Gwarzo and declared help for Hon. Fahad Muhammad Dankabo forward of the 2027 basic elections.
The former political workplace holders introduced their choice throughout a strategic assembly with Dankabo and leaders of the Association of Former Political Office Holders in Gwarzo, held on the weekend.
The group, comprising former councillors and different grassroots politicians, formally declared their intention to align with Dankabo’s political motion, in what political observers described as a realignment within the space’s political panorama forward of the 2027 elections.
They additionally declared help for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, and Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, below the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking on behalf of the group, its chairman, Malam Ubale Mahmoud, mentioned Dankabo had initiated a brand new political motion geared toward increasing political participation and attracting extra stakeholders.
Mahmoud described the motion as a transition “from darkness to light,” saying Dankabo’s continued engagement with political stakeholders was selling unity and understanding within the space.
He mentioned the brand new political path would offer stakeholders with alternatives to contribute to the event of Gwarzo and Kabo Federal Constituency.
In his response, Dankabo thanked the previous political workplace holders for the arrogance reposed in him, describing their choice as a major increase to his political motion.
He emphasised the significance of unity, mutual understanding and collective dedication to political improvement and efficient illustration.
Dankabo additionally pressured the necessity to carry all stakeholders alongside, noting that broader engagement with the individuals was important to addressing challenges affecting group improvement.
