The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, confirmed the incident, which occurred at about 6:30 pm on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

In a press release issued by its Press Unit, the company mentioned its Abuja Operations Office acquired an alert concerning the collapse and instantly activated related emergency response companies.
