The suspect, Isiyaka Badamasi, was arrested yesterday, whereas his alleged confederate, Ma’aruf Sani, each residents of the Na’ibawa space of Kano State, escaped. The police have launched a manhunt for the fleeing suspect.
The Bauchi State Police Command disclosed this in a press release issued on Thursday by its spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib.
However, the motorcyclist raised the alarm after sensing hazard, attracting members of the general public who helped apprehend Badamasi, whereas his alleged confederate fled.
The sufferer was rushed to Gamuwa Primary Health Care Centre for remedy and stays on admission, responding to medical care.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for additional investigation, whereas efforts proceed to arrest the fleeing suspect.
