You can’t rely on surrogates to seek re-election, Obi tackles Tinubu – Daily Trust

The Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) has reacted to President Bola Tinubu resolve not to go to each state for the 2027 marketing campaign saying the President can not rely on political surrogates to seek re-election forward of the 2027 normal elections.

The opposition group’s backlash follows stories indicating that President Tinubu might skip main legs of the marketing campaign path, citing the heavy calls for of governance, state duties, and financial administration.

In a press release on Thursday by POMR’s spokesman, Idris Zekeri Jnr, the marketing campaign group argued that the President can not delegate accountability or outsource the defence of his administration’s financial report to celebration chieftains, political allies, and reward singers whereas hundreds of thousands of residents grapple with extreme financial hardship.
