Niger State governor, Umaru Bago and the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji (Dr) Yahaya Abubakar, have expressed unhappiness over the dying of the Sagi Nupe, Hajiya Aishetu Ndayako Makama.
The Sagi Nupe is a revered feminine conventional title holder within the Nupe Kingdom and a custodian of many Nupe cultures and traditions.
The Etsu Nupe who described her demise as an important loss to her household, the Bida Emirate, Niger and the nation at giant, mentioned the deceased was a lady who lived an completed and governor fulfilled life, therefore her contributions to the unity and growth of the emirate could be remembered.
Hajiya Aishetu Makama, who died on Saturday on the age of 87, was a daughter of the late Etsu Nupe, Muhammadu Bakudu, the ninth Etsu Nupe and was the primary spouse of the late Alhaji Abubakar Daniyan, who was the eldest son of the late Aliyu Makama Bida.
The royal father described the deceased as a dedicated technocrat, a patriotic girl and a detribalised Nigerian who positioned the unity of the Bida Emirate above ethnic, political and spiritual variations.
Also Governor Umaru Bago condoled with the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State council of conventional rulers, over the demise saying that the dying of Sagi Nupe is a monumental loss to the Bida Emirate, the Nupe Kingdom and the whole state .
He prolonged his condolences to the instant household of the deceased and the whole folks of Bida for dropping an illustrious daughter whereas acknowledging her position within the growth of the Nupe Kingdom and her motherly position which has continued to encourage many individuals particularly ladies .
